Maine Coons

Welcome to LegendTales Maine Coons of Gilbert, Arizona! We have been showing and breeding Internationally Winning cats since the late 1980s, so it’s safe to say we’ve been around for a while. We do things a little different here because we have found what works best for our Maine Coons and their families. We do not keep a waitlist because when dealing with living creatures you never know what will happen (we've had litters of 1 and litters of 10!). We offer our kittens to well-qualified homes  for deposit starting around 6 weeks of age.  They join their new families after they have been altered, vaccinated and microchipped after 12 weeks of age . While we can’t host random visits, we do offer FaceTime so you can see the kittens, cats, and our home live. We know you will be blown away with the health, care, and personalities of our Maine Coons! Once we decide which kitty will be the best match for your family, you will be sent a contract and invited over to meet your kitten in-person and complete the contract and deposit. We will not hold kittens without a signed contract and deposit.

We proudly breed and show traditional American Maine Coons. Maine Coons originated in the state of Maine to be a working family cat. We avoid all of the trendy, extreme “Russia Maine Coons” as they have been overbred to an extreme, which has resulted in high inbreeding coefficients and the health challenges that come with it. Our focus is on preserving the Maine Coon to the current TICA and CFA breed standards with the lowest amount of in/line breeding and the greatest genetic diversity. We are extremely proud to have at least 5-10 generations of cats that have clear DNA and echocardiograms. We offer a 5-year guarantee for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) and debilitating Hip Displasia.

Our kittens are delivered in our bedroom and raised in our home as part of our family, which includes children (and marching band practice in our home!), two golden retrievers, cats and parrots. They thrive in an active household and are constantly with us "helping" as Maine Coons do best! Because of this high standard of care, our kittens are generally priced from $3500 and up depending on how closely the kitten meets the Maine Coon breed standard of perfection. We offer top cats with the best support from the first visit and throughout the life of your new family member. We offer long-term health guarantees against genetic defects. We strive to be the Mercedes Benz of the Maine Coon cat world!
